Ford Mustang GT Elite Tuners CSR2, best tune and shift pattern

The Ford Mustang GT is a CSR2 Elite Tuners Car of Season 168. The Ford is one of the faster Cars in Tier 5.

Ford Mustang GT Specifications

After about eight years of construction and a total of more than ten million units since 1954, the new generation of the Ford Mustang does the honors – classically proportioned and still with internal combustion engines and as a convertible. Meaning: Mustang is and remains Mustang. The classic grille – which is interpreted differently depending on the equipment – is flanked by narrow headlights, whose daytime running lights build a visual bridge to the all-electric SUV Mach-E.

The slim roofline leads to a rear end with a shorter overhang and a prominent spoiler. The three-part taillights and diffuser are also new and more angular. The cockpit also features a new look, with a steering wheel that is flattened at the bottom and has a thicker rim, while the typical Mustang “eyebrows” on the driver and passenger side are dispensed with in favor of a fully digital cockpit (12.4 inches) and a large touchscreen (13.2 inches) above the center console.

Sync-4 infotainment allows linking via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to the smartphone, which sits on a wireless charging pad on the center console. USB charging points are located below the windshield, for example for a dashcam for the race track. Naturally, the Ford Mustang now receives updates over the air.

For all its digitalization, the Ford Mustan still has either a 2.3-liter Ecoboost four-cylinder or a 5.0-liter V8 under the hood. According to Ford US, the four-cylinder has an output of 319 hp (235 kW) and a maximum torque of 474 Newton meters – 29 hp more than last. The Ford Mustang GT variant still has a 5.0-liter V8 engine.

This exhales audibly from an active flap exhaust and has been extensively revised for even better response and more power. Among other things, a new intake system with dual air intake and dual throttle bodies has been introduced to minimize intake losses and enable higher flow rates. This gives the V8 an output of 487 hp (358 kW) and maximum torque of 562 newton meters.

With an exhaust upgrade, the eight-cylinder engine even produces 493 hp (362 kW) and has a maximum torque of 566 newton meters. This represents an increase of 43 hp over the predecessor. Optionally, a 10-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels via a sport limited-slip differential, while Brembo brakes are responsible for negative deceleration.

The retuned steering, six customizable driving modes (Normal, Sport, Smooth, Drag and Track, and Individual) and numerous assistance systems, including traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control with stop-&-go function, lane departure warning, avoidance assist, emergency brake assist for reversing, and the FordPass app, which allows you to access numerous functions and information via your cell phone, are not even mentioned yet and are far from the end of the news about the Ford Mustang.

Thus the Ford Mustang is available for the first time as so-called Ford Mustang Dark Horse, a variant with extra performance. The 5.0-liter V8 produces 507 hp (373 kW) and has a maximum torque of 566 Newton meters. The V8 is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission with titanium shift ball or a 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters – in this version, new camshafts, an intake system with two throttle body intakes, an additional cooler for engine and transmission oil (automatic) and a lighter air cooler with improved heat dissipation. Another radiator provides more fresh air to the rear axle. A Torsen limited-slip differential is said to increase traction for improved acceleration and cornering balance.

Ford also adds larger anti-roll bars to the rear axle, more resilient shock absorbers to the front axle, and larger brake rotors for the Brembo braking system, which sits behind nine-inch front and 9.5-inch rear 19-inch wheels with Pirelli P Zero PZ4 tires. Speaking of brakes, an electronic drift brake is designed to combine drifting capabilities with the functionality of a traditional handbrake, while helping less experienced people drift without patronizing professionals.

From the outside, the Ford Mustang (2023) can be recognized as a dark horse by, among other things, blacked-out LED headlights, all manner of dark insignia, deeper side skirts, a fixed rear wing, a racing-inspired diffuser, and black Mustang logos. Ford has not yet revealed when and at what price the new Mustang will also be available here.
