Ford confidently announced months before the 24 Hours of Le Mans that it would win the famous race. Many manufacturers and teams do that, but only a few put it into practice. However, Ford meant business and traveled to Le Mans with the family clan, consisting of 30 to 40 people.
Just 395 days before winning the famous endurance classic, the racing version of the new Ford GT supercar experienced its first rollout – it was on May 20, 2015, at Calabogie Motorsports Park in Canada. In an unprecedented feat of strength, the Ford Chip Ganassi Racing team developed the vehicle into a race car in just one year. The U.S. team traveled to Le Mans in France with four race versions to compete in the “LM GTE Pro” class.
The race cars in the “LM GTE Pro” class must be based on the production model of a car of the current year. Engines of up to 5.5 liters are permitted for naturally aspirated engines, and up to 4.0 liters for turbocharged and supercharged engines. The Ford GT in the racing version is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 with two turbochargers that produces over 500 hp. Rumor has it that the production version already has over 600 hp. In addition, there is a maximum torque of over 500 Nm. The dry weight is under 1,310 kilograms. Ford did not provide exact details.

24 Hours in Santa Palma Event: Speedtrap at Race 79 is doable with Stage 6 “Engine” and Rest at Stage 5 but all Fusion Parts need to be installed. Tune your car NOS to the max right, Transmission 2.18 and Tires 52/48. Shift as fast as you can to 6 gear and NOS at 4.000rpm. You should reach 312mph. Done.
