The real Ford 2021 GT Heritage Edition
Ford is cultivating the Ford GT Heritage Edition with a new model at the end of 2018. The 2018 Heritage Edition celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Le Mans GT40 from 1968 and 1969. It wears the famous “Gulf Oil” racing livery! Compared to regular GT’s this one is outstanding.
With the special model called GT Heritage Edition (2018), the Cologne-based company is celebrating the legendary victories of the Ford GT40 Mark IV 50 years ago at the Le Mans 24-hour race. After the first editions in 2017, another version in “Gulf Oil” racing paintwork will follow in 2018. Quoting the victorious vehicles of 1968 and 1969.
Unique Heritage Blue and Heritage Orange are the colours of the world-famous paint finish. The interior, too, is to quote the legendary racing cars with a corresponding seat pattern. Optional carbon fibre accents for the interior leave room for individualisation.
The special model remains strictly limited and is delivered in 2019 with the starting number 9 as a reminder of the victorious car from 1968. The same applies to the number 6 for the 2020 model of the Ford 2021 GT Heritage Edition, whose roots lie in the winning car of 1969.
The V6 biturbo comes with 3,497 cc and almost 660 hp. The top speed of the 1385 kilogram rocket is said to be 348 km/h. The price, 450,000$.
To sum it up, a really rare car with breath taking performance at a decent price.
