The real 570-VX
Just in time for the SEMA 2016 auto show, Vorsteiner has unveiled an extremely powerful “baby McLaren” 570S. If the VS aerodynamic kit is not enough for you, you can now equip your 570 with the much more powerful 570-VX carbon body kit that makes the 570S look like the 735 kW (1,000 hp) P1 GTR, especially from behind.
If desired, Vorsteiner will install a completely new bumper at the rear including a huge diffuser. The unmistakable highlight, however, is the abnormally large carbon rear spoiler for which the usual “fritter counter” designation is almost an understatement. What the huge wing costs the 570S in terms of top speed is not yet known, but should the vehicle have remained standard in terms of performance so should, at least on the subject of top speed, the 570-VX have no advantages over the standard model.
A maximum of 600 Nm is available, the 570S is said to accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, 200 km/h is history after 9.5 seconds, and it doesn’t stop until 328 km/h. The last ounce of performance was sacrificed here for easier controllability; after all, the 650S is supposed to be the racing machine, while the 570S is supposed to be the fun-to-drive machine. The new model also takes a different approach to the chassis. Adaptive dampers, however, are standard.
On the race track, however, the additional downforce should certainly be a big advantage. The carbon body kit includes, in contrast to the rear spoiler, almost dainty side skirts and the front bumper with large air intake and side flaps has been redesigned and is much more aggressive than the VS version.
