The real Cayman GT4

Porsche has added a purist top model to its entry-level 718 series. In the GT4 variant of the Spyder and Cayman Coupé, a 4.0-liter six-cylinder without turbo replaces the turbocharged four-cylinder engine used in the standard model. The new boxer engine produces 309 kW / 420 hp in both models and provides 420 Nm of torque. In combination with a six-speed manual transmission, the mid-engine sports cars accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, with a maximum possible speed of 301 km/h in the Spyder and 304 km/h in the Coupé. The manufacturer quotes fuel consumption of 10.9 liters.

In addition to the engine, there are other changes compared to the standard models with a maximum of 269 kW / 365 hp. Aerodynamics have been optimized, for example, with a new diffuser and a fixed rear wing on the coupe. In addition, the GT models feature the racing suspension from the Cayman GT4 competition car. Optional is a Clubsport package with roll bar, six-point seat belt for the driver and hand fire extinguisher. Ceramic brakes are also available at extra cost. Prices for the new top models start at 93,350 euros for the convertible and 96,206 euros for the coupe.
