The real Rocket Bunny Honda NSX-R
Rocket Bunny styles the Honda NSX-R. At SEMA 2014 in Las Vegas, Rocket Bunny wanted to outshine his Toyota GT86, Mazda RX-7 and Nissan GT-R creations – with a Honda NSX! When the Honda NSX mid-engine sports car, aka “Acura,” with its 3.0-liter V6, rear-wheel drive and lightweight body developed with the help of Formula One legend Ayrton Senna, came onto the market, Honda made a strong statement. Of course, compared to the sports cars from Germany and the USA, the Japanese car was a little “underpowered” with its 274 hp, but the NSX more than made up for this with its ride and handling characteristics. In numerous international car magazines it was called the car with the best handling characteristics. But there was something else – the design!
In the early eighties Honda already started with the first design studies for their sports car and now for almost 25 years the design language of the NSX is still impressive. Especially due to its lines, the two-seater is still unmistakable today. No wonder, hardly any models were sold of the NSX, which was built for 15 years.
As before, Miura-san doesn’t follow the path of the samurai, but the path of bolted-on fender flares, an oversized diffuser, new skirts and adorns the bodywork with lots of carbon. There’s also a trunk tear-off edge topped by an oversized rear wing.
For NSX purists, this is actually sacrilege, but people like Ken Miura somehow keep the NSX spirit in the conversation through such conversions, rather than the Japanese sports car icon fading into oblivion. The Rocket Bunny NSX made its debut at SEMA in early November 2014.
The CSR2 Rocket Bunny Honda NSX-R
The 5 purple star Honda can fit 98 Fusion parts. So far nothing special. The Rocket Bunny should run 9.711s. To sum up, the NSX-R is one of the faster cars in Tier 4.
