Koenigsegg Gemera Specifications

The real Koenigsegg

With the Koenigsegg Gemera, the Swedes are once again shocking the entire automotive industry – not as planned at the Geneva Motor Show 2020, but with all the more impressive values.

The first four-seater of the brand, which was founded in 1994, has a three-cylinder mid-engine which, coupled with three electric motors, releases 1700 hp system power. This should give it a range of up to 1000 kilometers ~ and a top speed of 400 km/h. Even when stationary, the Gemera looks fast as hell.

The Swedes manage to retain the classic Koenigsegg silhouette without looking bloated in view of the larger dimensions. The solution with the helix doors, which swing open to the side and do not take up much space despite their enormous dimensions, is also elegant. The Koenigsegg Gemera offers its occupants all the more space when they enter: both the front and rear passengers can easily reach the noble studio through the wide entrance.

What does a Gemera cost?

The Gemera is made for long distances. This is why the Swedes are building countless other comfort features into the GT. But if the driver should itch between the toes, the super sports car is immediately ready to heat up over the asphalt at record-breaking speed. When the three electric motors and the 2.0-liter three-cylinder engine work together, 1700 horsepower is available. This should enable a top speed of 400 km/h – as well as acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds.

The Gemera also owes these values to its drive unit called the “Tiny Friendly Giant”, which makes do with just one gear. Thanks to rear-wheel steering and Torque Vectoring, the Gemera also has a lot to offer in terms of lateral dynamics. By the way, the complicated unit can be refuelled with Ethanol, Co2 friendly Methanol, E85 and if necessary even with normal gasoline.

The pure electric range of the Koenigsegg is 50 kilometers. In addition, the GT can even accelerate up to 300 km/h purely electrically. The Swedes want to produce 300 units of the mega four-seater, but they do not yet name a price. However, it is estimated that the price in classic Koenigsegg dimensions will be well over one million euros.
