Koenigsegg Agera RS Specifications

The real Koenigsegg

When the Koenigsegg Agera RS made its debut and shortly afterwards went on sale in 2016, it stood in the shadow of its powerful brother Regera. However, this did not stop customers from targeting the Agera RS and securing one of the 25 copies as quickly as possible. Only ten months after the presentation, the Swedes proudly announce that the hottest version of the Agera is completely sold out – never before has Christian Koenigsegg’s super sports car manufactory been able to sell so many cars in such a short time.

Despite its big brothers Regera and One:1, the Agera RS does not lack the necessary fascination potential for such records, because even the Swedes’ “entry-level model” is one of the strongest and fastest cars in the world. Thanks to its carbon monocoque, the super sports car from Ängelholm remains below the unladen weight of many compact sports cars, but is powered by a five-liter V8 biturbo. The powerhouse at the rear of the Agera RS delivers no less than 1176 hp and offers a maximum torque of 1280 Newton meters.

When the eight-cylinder engine of the Agera RS takes the hammer down, the performance of most sports cars is certainly quite ordinary. Just how far beyond the norm the Swede is on the road can perhaps be seen from the fact that Koenigsegg refrains from giving specific acceleration values.

How fast is the Agera

However, we can assume that the Agera RS is even faster than the heavier and weaker Agera R – and it takes less than 15 seconds to accelerate from a standing start to 300 km/h! The fact that it can accelerate from 0 to 300 and back to 0 after a total of 21.19 seconds earned it an entry in the Guinness Book of Records in 2011.

For Christian Koenigsegg’s team, another figure is more important than mundane information about top speed: The downforce of the Koenigsegg Agera RS (2016) was increased to 450 kilograms at a speed of 250 km/h. The active aerodynamics with a sophisticated flap system on the underbody and an extendable rear spoiler ensure that the super sports car, weighing around 1.3 tons, is literally pressed onto the asphalt.

The CSR2 Agera RS

The 5 yellow star Koenigsegg can fit 128 Fusion parts. So far nothing special. The Koenigsegg should run 7.478s. To sum up, the Agera RS is one of the faster cars in Tier 5.
