Koenigsegg Supercar Science Background Information
The Koenigsegg company was founded in 1994 by Christian von Koenigsegg in Ängelholm, Sweden. In the year 2000 the serial production started.
The project of manufacturing a super sports car in Sweden was supported in the development phase by Saab and Volvo, among others, as well as many supplier companies. The goal of Christian von Koenigsegg was to bring a vehicle to the market as a “pure driving machine”, as he called it. Low weight, high engine performance and the use of high-quality materials were important points in this process. Obviously he was talking about the Jesko.
