The real Rides by Kam Dodge Challenger Havoc

There is horsepower, and then there is ridiculous horsepower. Rides by Kam took a 1970 Challenger and pimped it up to a breathtaking 2,500 horsepower.

Rides by Kam left no stone unturned for the custom-built 1970 Challenger. This work starts with the 572 ci all-aluminum ProCharged Hemi, which they somehow packed under the hood. The 9.4 liter big block Hemi V8 comes with improved holes, valves and heads. This engine accounts for the 2,500 horsepower, which is more horsepower than a Bugatti Chiron and a Lamborghini Aventador combined.

Robert Zahabi, owner of the Australian garage responsible for the Charger’s Restomod, aptly named the Challenger “Havoc”. The engine gives it’s enormous power to a T-56 six-speed manual transmission, the same transmission used in high-performance vehicles such as the Dodge Viper and Chevrolet Camaro.

Rides by Kam introduced several other upgrades, including a Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis with independent rear suspension. Recessed into bumpers, Custom taillights sit above narrower bumpers. All of these enhancements ride on a set of 20-inch American Legend rims that are mated with eight-inch wide tires at the front and 15-inch wide tires at the rear. As a tribute to vintage sports cars, the dashboard has a double-hull design. Tthe center console features a flush-mounted iPad and a skeletonized shift lever from Ringbrothers.

Considering all the work and power that went into this redesign, it should come as no surprise that no prizes were shared for Havoc. You can always contact Rides by Kam to see if you can buy it. If you do, then pull a fast car that is as fast as the car itself.

  1. How do you get such great close ups on these cars? I can’t zoom in nearly that close! Thanks, Bob Cobb

    1. Hey Bob, the AR Mode is available if you tap on the camera with little cube icon on the left. If you use this, you will be able to move around and in the car.
