Chevrolet COPO Camaro CSR2, best tune and shift pattern

The Chevrolet COPO Camaro in the CSR2 Milestone Car of Season 81. This car is totally awesome, only three gears, acceleration like a bunny on drugs and spinning wheels. The Copo Camaro is one of the faster Cars in Tier 5

Chevrolet COPO Camaro specifications

In 1969 Fred Gibb started the COPO Camaro programm. He used Chevrolets in-house special order system to build a car for drag racing. He equipped the regular Camaro Z28 with the ZL-1 427 racing engine, creating the perfect car for the drag strip.

At SEMA 2018, Chevrolet is presenting a COPO to mark the 50th anniversary of the drag racer. As always, no performance data is available for the COPO. A pity actually, but the owners of these vehicles tuned and needs. Furthermore, Chevrolet will only build 69 COPO Camaro 50th Anniversary Special Edition examples. This is the exact number of original models built with the 427 ZL1 engine. To sum up, a pretty rare car.

Can I use Stage 6 Parts from the regular COPO for the 50th Anniversary Model?

Yes, Stage 6 Parts fit on both COPO variants. So there is a big chance you already have some of them.

Can I buy COPOs from the dealership, to strip them?

No, unfortunately not. You only can win the COPOs by opening gold crates. So it’s hard to get upgrade parts for this car.
