The muscle car world killed the first generation Camaros. But, the Dutchboys Hot Rods Camaro is a truly amazing ’69 built.
Joe (father) and Paul (son) VanNus run this business. They have hired a super talented crew who are able to bring their vision of muscle cars to the fore with their quality cars.
The VanNus’ demonstrate their design and manufacturing talent by incorporating just the right amount of custom nuances without sacrificing the original spirit of the car. After all, there is not much to criticize about the body of the 1969 Camaro in its original form.
This particular Camaro has tastefully stretched fenders and quarter panels that give it a more muscular look. An original BASF Dutchboys paint – a kind of maroon color – coats the exterior.
The car comes from the Pro Touring template and features a hydroformed subframe from Detroit Speed Inc. at the front and the QUADRALink suspension system at the rear. JRi shocks are located in all four corners and ZR1 carbon brakes are used to handle the stopping action. Michelin Pilot Sport rubber cover gold Forgeline carbon wheels (11 inches wide front, 12.5 inches wide rear). The motivation comes from a 675 hp LS7 with a 6-speed Tremec Magnum transmission prepared for bowler races.
