Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Specifications

Real life Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

Despite the obvious familiarity of its shape, the Sesto Elemento is detached from the brand’s current design language. The wild details make it something you’d only expect to see in a video game or a crazy tuner’s showroom, but not really from Lamborghini, not after the brand has worked hard to overcome the styling clichés of its past. We’ve heard that there was considerable debate within Lamborghini and at parent company Audi about showing such an extreme concept car. In the end, the view prevailed that it wouldn’t hurt to deviate a bit from the somewhat aloof and architectural proportions and design features of the production models – features that, incidentally, will also apply to the Murciélago successor.

One of the most striking features of the Sesto Elemento is that its entire body is made of visible matte carbon fiber (the so-called “sixth element,” as the concept’s name translates from Italian), a material that is as expensive as it is lightweight. In fact, the curb weight of the entire vehicle is said to be only 2200 pounds. That’s 1100 pounds less than our estimated curb weight for the supposedly “superlight” Gallardo Superleggera.

Combine the light weight with the V-10’s 570 hp at 8000 rpm-torque is 398 lb-ft at 6500 rpm-and the performance should be explosive; Lamborghini says the car is capable of 62 mph in 2.5 seconds. Top speed – which Lambo says is mentioned only “in the interest of completeness,” since top speed has been downgraded to the fourth-highest priority for its products – is said to be “well over 185 mph.” We suspect that this modesty hides a top speed of over 200 mph.

The 5 yellow star Lambo can fit 128 Fusion parts. So far nothing special. The Sesto should run 7.461s. To sum up, the Sesto Elemento is obviously not one of the fastest cars in Tier 5.
