FORD MUSTANG FNF SPecifications
The real Mustang
Since the 60s it has been tradition and custom: Shelby takes the Mustang and really brings it up to speed. The current edition is called the Shelby GT350 and has become a real cream puff. Black wheels, wide cheeks, four pipes at the rear, radiator grille made of carbon. The hood is five centimeters lower – for better aerodynamics. Brembos are fitted all round, measuring 394 millimeters at the front; there are also calipers with six pistons at the front and four at the rear. The chassis features electric adjustable dampers and settings ranging from comfort to race track.
Shelby has revised the engine particularly thoroughly. Instead of the five-liter with 421 hp as in the normal Mustang V8, a 5.2-liter “Voodoo” is used, Voodoo is the factory-internal engine designation. And here it comes: This eight-cylinder engine revs up to a dizzying 8250 rpm! It delivers 533 hp at 7500 rpm and a maximum of 582 Newton meters to the crankshaft. A Yank that can really rev! No question, it wants to bite. So let’s go! Activate the four fanfares with the toggle switch – and throttle up! The V8 roars at the top of its lungs, the needle oscillates around 8,000 rpm. Second gear up to 120, third up to 210, in fourth it goes up to 250 km/h on the first run, but the Shelby is supposed to run at 275. Yeah, the sound is great. And that’s despite the fact that the Mustang’s usual V8 blubber sound has given way to a somewhat brighter timbre due to the modified (180-degree) crankshaft in the Voodoo V8.
The CSR2 Ford Mustang FnF
The 5 purple star Mustang can fit 135 Fusion parts. So far nothing special. The Ford should run [table-cell id=5 cell=G383 /]s. To sum up, the FnF Mustang is not one of the faster cars in Tier 5.
