Ferrari presented the open La Ferrari at the Paris Motor Show. The LaFerrari Aperta brought a breath of fresh air to the supercar market. The open-top version of the LaFerrari has the same power as the closed version. A electric motor with 163 hp output supports the V12 engine with 800 hp, so the Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta has a total output of 963 hp.
This means it sprints to 100 km/h in under three seconds and takes just 7.1 seconds to accelerate to 200 km/h from a standstill. The top speed of the LaFerrari Aperta is beyond 350 km/h. To ensure the same torsional and flexural rigidity of the coupe version and strength even without the roof, Ferrari made some changes to the body and aerodynamics.
The convertible is also available with carbon fiber hard top and soft top. Thanks to the changes made to the aerodynamics, the driver has no disadvantage in terms of drag compared to the coupe version with the roof open and the windows up, Ferrari assured. A sophisticated wind-stop system keeps the interior quiet even at high speeds.
As for the price, there has been speculation in the region of 2.4 million euros. The number of units was significantly lower than that of the closed version. Ferrari produced just 499 units of the closed version.
