Ferrari F8 Tributo Specifications
The real Ferrari F8 Tributo
Was the Ferrari F8 Tributo able to match the success of its predecessors? For three years in a row, from 2016 to 2018, the 90-degree turbo V8 engine of the Ferrari 488 GTB won the title of “Best Engine of the Year” and was also voted the best engine of the last 20 years by an international jury. The tradition-steeped Italian sports car manufacturer does not seem to take these awards for granted with its usual self-confidence, but rather as a powerful compliment.
In 2019, the time had come, the F8 Tributo made its appearance. With new aerodynamics, new design and new cockpit. More important, however, is the 720-hp, 3.9-liter turbo V8 under the rear engine cover made of light and tough Lexan, reminiscent of the legendary Ferrari F40: The explosively powerful engine of the previous 488 Pista is now becoming standard in Ferrari’s mid-engine sports car class. 185 hp per liter and a power-to-weight ratio of 0.54 hp per kilogram are now the key data for Ferrari’s sporty entry-level model.
However, these excellent figures are achieved not only by the sheer power of the turbo V8, but also by consistent weight reduction. The engine alone, with its titanium connecting rods and other lightweight elements, is 20 kilograms lighter than the 488 GTB, and a further 20 kilograms have been saved on the chassis of the Ferrari F8 Tributo.
The CSR2 F8 Tributo
The 5 yellow star Ferrari can fit 128 Fusion parts. So far nothing special. The F8 should run 7.683s. To sum up, the F8 Tributo is not one of the faster cars in Tier 5.
