The Audi R8 Spyder is powered by a naturally aspirated V10 engine with a displacement of 5.2 liters. As of October 2021, the quattro and RWD performance variants are the only powertrain options. With all-wheel drive, the Audi R8 V10 Spyder performance produces 620 hp.
The Audi R8 V10 Spyder performance RWD with rear-wheel drive produces 570 hp. Audi has discontinued the base models with 540 (RWD) and 570 hp (quattro) in parallel. The performance all-wheeler reaches 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. The top speed is 329 km/h.
The rear-wheel drive R8 Spyder performance is only slightly slower: The speedometer needle shows 100 km/h after 3.8 seconds. Propulsion only comes to an end at 327 mph. The R8 V10 performance features various driving modes that adapt the vehicle settings to the prevailing road conditions. The braking distance has also improved again compared with the predecessor.
