The real Exige LF1
In summer 2014, Lotus launched the special Exige LF1 model to celebrate the brand’s 81 Formula 1 victories. It has a supercharged V6 engine with 345 hp and, as expected, was only produced in a quantity of 81 units.
This Lotus impresses with its supercharged 3.5-liter V6 engine. This gives the LF1 an output of 345 hp at 7,000 rpm. Of course, all this power is sent to the rear axle via a six-speed manual transmission.
Its performance is impressive. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 274 km/h. Of course, don’t forget that the Exige’s curb weight is only 1,176 kilograms.
However, the Exige LF1 also impresses with its aesthetics. Its body, decorated with the mythical black and gold tones of the racing cars of the 70s and 80s, is very eye-catching and reminiscent of the brand’s racing trumpets. The gold-colored wheels are 17 inches on the front axle and 18 inches on the rear.
The interior is distinguished by other special features, black and gold color to the Lotus F1 team embroidery on the seat backs. It is not missing the traditional carbon signature badge that numbers the production of this special series.
The Lotus Exige LF1 made its debut during the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2014 , which took place from June 26 to 29.
