Aston Martin stands for extravagant sports cars and exclusive special models, one of which is the Aston Martin One-77. The number at the end of the model name stands for an edition of only 77 units, most of which are hand-built. The exclusivity has its price and so Aston Martin called for the One-77 around 1.2 million euros.
The elongated hood and huge radiator grille make it unmistakably clear to the observer that things are getting pretty intense in the engine compartment behind them. The large side air intakes and the front headlights add to this.
For these 1,200,000 euros, you get a super sports car whose 7.3-liter V12 gasoline engine consumes around 18 liters per 100 kilometers, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 572 grams per kilometer driven – respect.
The V12 engine has a displacement of 7.3 liters and produces 760 hp (559 kW). Despite this power class and the engine’s large displacement, Aston Martin’s engineers decided against forced induction and so the engine in the One-77, at the start of production in 2009, was the most powerful naturally aspirated engine in the world.
When the fireworks of gasoline and air are set to explode in all 12 cylinders, a total of 48 valves hammer in the cylinder head and ensure optimum charge exchange, the maximum torque is 750 Nm.
The Aston Martin One-77 reaches a maximum top speed of up to 335 km/h. The special model accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.
The Aston Martin One-77 was a collector’s item even before it made its first contact with the road and will probably never lose value; on the contrary, those who could afford it have certainly made a profitable financial investment with the limited edition One-77.
