In 2004 the Carrera GT won the Trophy for the fastest road-legal car on the Nordschleife. With a time of 7:32 minutes. Even afterwards, this time is still quite exciting, but back then it was already a real challenge, simply because the borderline is quite narrow.

The starter motor spins a few times and then the ten-cylinder engine runs stably at increased idle speed – just like a racing engine. This immediately makes your neck hair stand up!
How the engine revs up! The way the car turns in, despite the steering which from today’s point of view is not so direct. And then this wonderful shifting feeling, with your hand on the wooden knob. It all fit together wonderfully. The ten-cylinder sound is simply intoxicating.
The Carrera GT still looks like a modern car, both technically and in terms of design. It will never look old. It is timeless and thus an unforgettable automotive milestone. One of the absolute highlights of the petrol engine era.
