Local Motors Rally Fighter Specifications

The real Rally Figther

The Rally Fighter is an American off-road vehicle, Local Motors is the manufacturer. Believe it or not, the Rally Figther is something very special. For the first time ever, the development of a car in co-creation design was fed up, the result was the Rally Figther. The winner of a co-creation vote, Sangho Kim, submitted the exterior design. The Rally Fighter is street legal in all 50 US states.

A front and center mounted 6.2L GM LS3 V8 that produces 430 hp (321 kW; 436 hp) at 5,900 rpm powers the Rally Fighter. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 4-speed GM 4L85-E automatic transmission, chosen according to Local Motors to prevent over-revving when jumping. The suspension has double A-arms at the front and a 4-link Ford 9-inch axle at the rear, both with coil springs and telescopic shock absorbers. This gives it 16″ travel at the front and 20″ travel at the rear. To save weight, it also has a fiberglass body.

In the interior, the Rally Fighter comes standard with 3-point seat belts, a roll cage and Recaro seats, as well as amenities such as air conditioning, stereo and power windows. The price for the Rally Fighter starts at 99,900 US dollars.
