KEN BLOCK’S HOONIPIGASUS PORSCHE SVRSR RACE CAR.
If you thought Ken Block and Hoonigan Racing were out of ridiculous race car ideas, you’d be wrong. The latest addition to the stable is the Hoonipigasus Porsche SVRSR, a collaboration between Pikes Peak-winning Porsche manufacturer BBi Autosport and Hoonigan.
The Porsche SVRSR is a custom chassis with a classic 911 body with all-wheel drive and a 1,400-horsepower six-cylinder boxer engine with twin turbochargers. Artist Trouble Andrew designed the paint scheme, an homage to the “Pink Pig” scheme used on the 1971 Porsche 917/20 Le Mans race car. The Hoonipigasus will compete in the Pikes Peak Open class at the 2022 Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
The crazy race car named “Hoonipigasus” impresses with its special paint scheme, reminiscent of the Porsche 917/20 “Sow” from 1971. At the heart of the wild creation is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine that produces a colossal 1,400 hp. All this power is transmitted to both axles of the vehicle, which weighs only about 1,000 kg.
The Hoonipigasus is the brainchild of BBi Autosport and has been fitted with a height-adjustable suspension that uses GPS coordinates based on last year’s Pikes Peak telemetry.
