Audi RS e-tron GT Specifications

Real life Audi RS e-tron GT

With the Audi RS e-tron GT, Audi Sport is showing the first all-electric RS model that is also simultaneously the brand’s most powerful production car of all time thanks to overboost. We know that price and interior space.

As the technical brother of the Porsche Taycan, the Audi RS e-tron GT at a price starting at 138,200 euros represents the spearhead of the e-offensive already on wheels. It adopts the design in large parts from the e-tron GT concept presented in Los Angeles in 2018. Thus, it also differs from the weaker e-tron GT only in details. The flat and stretched roofline is reminiscent of the Audi A7, as is the striking light strip at the rear.

The boldly flared wheel arches, christened “quattro blisters” by Audi, are also familiar from other models of the brand. The striking light signature at the front and the huge diffuser that draws attention to itself on the four-door GT are striking. Beneath the emotionally shaped sheet metal sits one electric motor per axle for 598 hp system output (in overboost even 646 hp) and 830 Newton meters of torque. Enough power to accelerate the all-wheel-drive vehicle to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds.

Thanks to a sophisticated thermal management system, the power is even sustained. Four heat circuits, which can be linked via valves, ensure that both the technology and the interior remain at a perfect temperature. Incidentally, this also applies to the charging process, which allows up to 270 kW charging power thanks to 800-volt Taycan technology. The range of the Audi RS e-tron GT is said to be around 472 kilometers (WLTP forecast value) thanks to a 93.4 kWh battery (83.7 kW gross usable) in the underbody.

Optional all-wheel steering and Audi’s own three-chamber air suspension with controlled damping should also give the 2.3-ton Audi RS e-tron GT lateral dynamic talents. A tungsten carbide brake as standard and a carbon ceramic unit as an option ensure deceleration in keeping with the car’s status. The interior is less Taycan-futuristic and more typically Audi with a mixture of control buttons and digital displays. On request, Audi dresses the seats in vegan materials instead of leather. Five doors and a combined trunk volume of 490 liters (85 in the front and 405 in the rear) promise high everyday usability for the Audi RS e-tron GT.
