The real Continental GT Speed

Speed? No, the new Bentley Continental GT Speed is more about handling and driving pleasure!

No one should please be misled by the 24 hp more power that the new Bentley Continental GT Speed has ahead of the standard GT. Even though the brief addition to the name promises even more forward thrust for our first test drive (3.6 s to 100 km/h), the focus of the new top model in the series is not on top speed (335 km/h), but rather on the exhilarating approach to the limits, more driving sharpness, better handling – and ultimately even more driving pleasure.

Word has long since spread that the Continental GT is anything but a bore. The British power coupe, based on the same platform as the Porsche Panamera, is known for its driving dynamics and impressive agility despite its considerable weight. But more is always possible, and so the installation of the somewhat more powerful, still six-liter W twelve-cylinder engine with 659 hp and 900 Newton meters of torque from the Bentley Bacalar played only a secondary role in the design of the new Bentley Continental GT Speed.
