The Veilside Fortune Mazda RX-7 (FnF) is a CSR2 Event Car of Season 82. The Mazda is not one of the faster cars in Tier 5.
Veilside Fortune Mazda RX-7 specifications
It is one of the four-wheeled stars of the Fast&Furious movie “Tokyo Drift” – the VeilSide Mazda RX-7. The Japanese tuner helped this heavily boosted coupe with Fortune body kit, turbo and NOS onto its wide rubberized legs.
VeilSide is located in a quiet neighborhood about an hour north of the hectic, Japanese capital. There sits the eponymous tuner for all Japanese sports cars. The mastermind behind this successful company is Hiranao Yokomaku.
Yokomaku’s Combat kits have found their way into every Japanese sports car and have, as you would expect, copied by less imaginative companies around the world. The “Fortune” body kit range is the latest generation of full conversions and starts where the Combat kits left off.
As a VeilSide car, the Fortune RX-7 had to back up its looks with appropriate power. Nothing was spared in this area either. VeilSide upgraded the twin-barrel 13B engine with an HKS-T04Z turbo kit. With 1.0 bar of boost pressure, the tiny unit generates just over 400 hp. More than enough for such a small and light car.
A large HKS intercooler was mounted in the “nose” of the front bumper. This takes advantage of the space in the engine bay, as in the race car, to provide the best possible airflow. VileSide highly polished all pipes polished, and installed the NOS fuel injection system directly in front of the throttle body. The 19-inch chrome wheels are the crowning touch to this tuning masterpiece. They house 265 rubber, which bring enough grip on the asphalt!
