The real life LB-Works Silhouette Toyota GR Supra

Kei Miura may have made the first widebody kit for the Toyota GR Supra, as the Pandem/Rocket Bunny kit was released almost simultaneously with the sports car’s launch last year. However, it was only a matter of time before Liberty Walk’s Wataru Kato would build his own widebody kit. Now we finally have our first look at the LB-Works GR Supra, and it looks even wilder than the Pandem kit.

The Liberty Walk GR Supra widebody kit consists of a front diffuser, rear diffuser, wing, side skirts, wide fenders and canards. There is also an optional vented hood if you want to add it. Unlike the Pandem kit, which builds on the original lines of the Supra, Kato has given the LB Works kit a more boxy design, especially on the fenders. This gives the car a more aggressive stance, similar to the old race car from the 80s.

Also, the angular design helps distinguish the LB Works kit from its Pandem/Rocket Bunny counterpart. Interestingly, the design is similar to the new LB-Silhouette Works line of kits, which also uses a boxy approach to the fenders.

Aside from the boxy fenders, probably the most noticeable feature of the Liberty Walk kit is the massive rear wing. Aside from being as wide as the original Supra fenders, the wing is almost as tall as the Supra’s roof. We’re not sure if that has aerodynamic benefits (it probably doesn’t), but it certainly helps with the kit’s wild styling. The rest of the LB Works kit seems to improve on the GR Supra’s original design with a more prominent front splitter, rear diffuser, and side sills.

The 5 purple star Toyota can fit 135 Fusion parts. So far nothing special. The Supra should run  7.042s. To sum up, the Toyota is one of the faster cars in Tier 5.
