Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport Specifications

Real life Chiron

The new Chiron Pur Sport makes it clear at first glance: it takes incredible performance to a new level.

Inspired by historic Bugatti hillclimb racing cars, the Pur Sport is designed to develop a new dimension of lateral dynamics on winding country roads. Unlike the other Chiron models, which are primarily designed for speed, the Pur Sport – as the name suggests – takes a purer, more uncompromising approach. The engine output of the W16 with its four turbochargers remains at 1500 hp, but the engineers have slimmed the hypercar down noticeably.

This was achieved thanks to a new titanium exhaust system, lighter brakes, revised wheels and a fixed rear wing. Both the aerodynamically optimized rims and spoilers also provide noticeably more downforce. As a result, the Pur Sport should develop even more grip in curves.

In order to accelerate the exceptional sports car out of the apex in a manner befitting its species, Molsheim relies on a shorter-ratio seven-speed dual clutch. The top speed is thus “only” 350 km/h, but Chiron feels even livelier and more elastic.

Bugatti is asking a net price of three million euros for its latest development.
