What are Keys in CSR2 and what do you need them for
Keys are one, if not the, currency in CSR2. With keys you pay for rare fusion parts, level 6 upgrades and they are the only real way to get new cars. Therefore they are desirable to own.
Bronze Keys:
Bronze keys allow you to open parts boxes in CSR2. These boxes contain fusion parts and rarely Stage 6 parts for your car.
Silver keys:
With silver keys you can get the Prestige Cup Car. Silver keys are the most important currency in CSR2.
Gold keys:
Gold keys in CSR2 are used to buy cars for events like the Duality Cups or big events like the American Road Trip series.
The official CSR2 Instructions
How to get Keys in CSR2
Yes, of course you can just buy keys but do you really want to? I wouldn’t do that, why? Simple, too expensive. There’s good news for you, you can earn the keys. And there are even several ways to do it. Some of them are even almost no hassle.
Get Keys in CSR2 from the Daily Bonus
You can pick up the Daily Bonus once a day, make sure you don’t miss it. Easily earned loot, all you have to do is open the game and collect the bonus.
Get Keys from the Daily Battles
The Daily Battle also takes only a few minutes to do, it’s a race you can easily win every single time. With 4-5 races a day (every 4 hours) you will unlock 5 Gold Keys in 20 – 25 days and earn several silver and bronze keys on the go.
Get Keys in CSR2 from the Prize Cup every week
You can get 75 Silver Keys from the Prize Cup every week. You need to do 50 races, this sounds a lot but you will also earn good cash from it. 50 races with $12.000 each makes 600.000 cash.
Get Keys from Live Races every 8 hours
While you drive the Live Races to earn respect points for your crew, you will also earn 10 Silver and 150 Bronze Keys. Every 8 hours if you want.
Get Keys from Milestone Rewards
If your crew is successful and targets the Milestone car you will earn 400 Bronze Keys, 60 Silver Keys and 3 Gold Keys per season. Not bad.

How to use Keys in CSR2
Opening Bronze Crates
Bronze Crates cost 100 Bronze Keys regular or 350/400/500/700 Bronze Keys per attempt, depending on the tier and event – this is ALWAYS a game of chance. Even the “Loyalty” reward may include double Stage 6 upgrades or other crap you can’t use and need.
However, I advise you to open the bronze boxes only during events, for example to maximize your Prestige Cup car.
Opening Silver Crates
Silver Crates cost 50 silver keys per attempt, or 75 for manufacturer-specific boxes. Not a big gamble if you use them for the 15 attempts during the Prestige Cup, as a loyalty reward the Prestige Cup car is then guaranteed. Most of the time you need less silver keys to get the car, without guarantee. Manufacturer specific boxes are not worth it and should be avoided at all costs.
Opening Gold Crates
Gold Crates cost 10 Gold Keys per attempt – not really a gamble if you use them for the 7 attempts during special events, the Loyalty Bonus guarantees the car you want. Everything else is a waste of money, you should avoid that at all costs.
How can I sign up?
For what?
I love that the “How to Use Keys” section doesn’t say the place win the game where you use the keys. In other words, it doesn’t tell you how to use them.
The sections headline is “HOW” not where. There is just one place in the game where you can use keys, I don’t think it is necessary to describe it
