Hennessey Resurrection CSR2, best tune and shift pattern.

The Hennessey Resurrection is the CSR2 Duality Evo Cup Prize Car of Season 170. Obviously, the Hennessey Resurrection is not one of the fastest cars in Tier 5.

Hennessey Resurrection Specifications

The US tuner Hennessey Performance is of course also represented at the 2019 SEMA Auto Show. Namely, they presented the “successor” of the crazy Exorcist Chevrolet Camaro with 1,000hp at the booth. Curtain up for the 1,200 hp & 1355 NM Hennessey Resurrection Camaro ZL1 (1LE)! The tuner has probably reworked the 6.2-liter V8 supercharger again and tickles another 200 hp from the engine?

How is that supposed to work? Apparently not so simple! How else can you explain that Hennessey took the trouble to throw out the LT4 powerplant and replace it with the LT5 V8 from the Corvette ZR1. Even in stock form, this monster produces 765 horsepower and a hefty 969 Newton meters of torque, creating the new basis for Hennessey Performance’s performance upgrade. The tuner reworks virtually the entire engine and adds almost all components that are also installed in the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 HPE1200 presented.

The most important details here are an increase in displacement to 7 liters, a completely new supercharger system, a special sports exhaust system, new pistons and connecting rods and of course an air intake system for sufficient fresh air. In addition, the fuel system is also significantly modified and a huge intercooler and a completely rebuilt cooling system in combination with in-house chip tuning ensure that the V8 does not burn up even under full load and can use all the new components perfectly.

And those who wish can even order the behemoth with a six-speed manual transmission complete with Centerforce clutch or optionally with the familiar 10-speed automatic. Both variants are of course adapted to the extreme performance and significantly reinforced. And the Hennessey performance upgrade is also visually evident on the ZL1. However, typically Hennessy – only very discreetly – if one can speak of it at all in view of a ZL1. The coupe received a custom carbon hood and on the sides there is a black foiling with Resurrection lettering.

There were no other obvious changes! By the way, according to Hennessy, the power injection ensures acceleration to 100 km/h in just 2.3 seconds and they want to have completed the quarter mile after just 9.3 seconds with a top speed of about 240 km/h. In view of the fact that the Resurrection is still only rear-wheel drive, these are extremely impressive key data. By the way, Resurrection is translated as “resurrection” which, considering the circumstances, we find at least as scary as the former name addition “Exorcist”.
