RAM 1500 TRX SPecifications
With the 1500 TRX, priced from around 119,000 euros, the American pickup specialist has put an impressive vehicle on its wheels. Not only the technical specifications of the engine make you sit up and take notice, but also the promised off-road characteristics.
At the heart of the TRX is a 6.2 liter V8 engine with supercharger. It mobilizes 711 hp and develops a maximum torque of 881 net watts. The eight-speed automatic transmission handles the high torque effortlessly and impress with quick gearshifts. From 0 to 60 miles (96.5 km/h), the performance pickup sprints in 4.5 seconds.
On the quarter mile, the 1500 TRX burns a time of 12.9 seconds into the asphalt. But the all-wheel-drive vehicle should only really feel at home off paved roads. Its chassis has been designed for maximum robustness and durability. Goodyear developed the 35-inch all-terrain tires specially for the TRX.
Ground clearance is 30 centimeters and fording depth just under 81 centimeters. Two intake tracts supply the engine with air. Before the intake air passes through a large-area high-performance filter, coarse dirt and water are collected in a 29-liter airbox. This is to ensure that the 1500 TRX remains functional even in the most extreme situations.
