Maserati MC 12 Stradale Specifications

The real Maserati MC 12 Stradale

Based on the Ferrari Enzo, the new Maserati MC 12 is a top-class sports car. The road-going version of the model, which is successful in the FIA GT series, develops 632 hp.

The bolide named MC 12 was to resume the brand’s racing history in the FIA GT series. In doing so, Maserati enlisted the help of its former main rival Ferrari. The technology of the Maserati MC 12 comes from Ferrari: chassis, suspension, engine and transmission are supplied by the super sports car Enzo. While the differences under the sheet metal are still marginal, the two differ significantly from each other visually. In terms of length, the well-rounded flounder from Modena exceeds the more angular version from Maranello by an incredible 44 centimeters.

The wheelbase of the MC 12 is also an impressive 15 centimeters longer. In contrast to the angular Ferrari Enzo, the 5.14-meter-long Maserati flat is characterized by soft proportions. The cream of the Maserati crop is undoubtedly behind the two bucket seats: With its 632 hp, the MC 12 is one of the absolute top athletes. Compared to the Enzo, however, the engine output is reduced by 28 horsepower to a still powerful 632 hp (Enzo: 660 hp) due to modified cylinder heads and a lowered maximum engine speed in the Maserati.

At the front, the MC 12 stands on wide 245/35 ZR 19 rollers, while at the rear the rear axle drives mighty 345/35 ZR 19 wheels on 19-inch aluminum rims. The seven-spoke rims can be fitted or removed by means of a central locking system.

Those who will then be among the lucky owners will undoubtedly have an automobile gem to call their own. And if the Italians win more victories on the racetracks of this world, Maserati will be heading for glorious times.
