The real 2020 Audi RS 5 Coupe
The appearance of the Audi RS5 Coupé is now even more stocky because the front grille has become slightly wider and flatter. The new headlights on the RS5 now always come as Matrix LED headlights with dynamic turn signal light. With the optional laser light, the lights have exclusively darkened bezels.
Audi gave the large, strongly contoured air intakes a new pentagonal cut. The revised RS 5 models ride on 19-inch wheels. New 20-inchers are available as an option in three variants, one painted in all-black gloss and another in matte bronze. In the standard brake system, black or red-painted calipers grip steel discs. Alternatively, Audi has carbon-fiber ceramic brake discs for the front axle, their calipers painted gray, red or blue. The side sills have been redesigned, as has the diffuser insert at the rear, which encloses the two large tailpipes of the exhaust system.
The Gloss Black, Matt Aluminum and Carbon look packages give the add-on parts at the front, rear and side sills a different look. New colors include turbo blue and tango red. A carbon fiber roof with CFRP fiber structure is available for the Coupé, reducing the vehicle weight by almost four kilograms. A panoramic opening glass roof is available as an option for the Coupé and Sportback. The RS5 is therefore also still available as a five-door Sportback, both starting at 83,500 euros. In addition to the already sporty exhaust system in chrome, an RS sport exhaust system with oval trim panels in high-gloss black is available.
There are no changes on the powertrain side. In both models, the 450 hp and 600 Nm 2.9-liter V6 biturbo remains in place, allowing lane times of 3.9 seconds and top speeds of up to 280 km/h.
