ATS Automobili RR Turbo Specifications
Real life RR Turbo
The RR Turbo was apparently designed as an affordable entry into GT4-like motorsports.
Yep, affordable and motorsport in the same sentence – who would have thought? According to ATS Corsa, the RR Turbo’s maintenance costs are €2.30 per kilometer, which isn’t much when compared to the GT4 average of €5.80 per kilometer.
In addition, the RR Turbo is homologated for a whole range of different disciplines around the world, so customers can immediately enter everything from the 24-hour series and the International Endurance Series to hill climbs, the VLN at the Nürburgring, and even time attack series with the purchase of an RR Turbo.”
Even the initial cost doesn’t seem excessive – the RR Turbo starts at €132,000 plus tax in the base Clubsport version. For that, you get a 2.0-liter turbo four-stroke mid-engine from Honda that produces an impressive 600 hp and 391 Nm of torque. This drives the rear wheels via a sequential six-speed racing gearbox, and the suspension is fully adjustable at the front and trailing.
It reportedly takes less than 3.0 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h, and the top speed is somewhere around 290 km/h – presumably depending on whether you choose the one- or two-stage rear wing. Mega.
Other options include traction control, carbon-ceramic brakes instead of the standard steel units, a paddle-shift conversion for the transmission, forged wheels, and even an all-carbon body that saves an extra 14 kg. If you really want to get serious, though, go for the Carbonio series, which bundles all the hardcore options and saves a total of 40 kg. The price tag? 164,900 € before taxes. A bargain.
The CSR2 ATS Automobili RR Turbo
The 5 purple star ATS can fit 135 Fusion parts. So far nothing special. The RR should run 7.309s. To sum up, the RR Turbo is one of the faster cars in Tier 5.
