W-Motors Lykan HyperSport Specifications

The real Lykan HyperSports

The Lykan Hypersport is a Lebanese small-series sports car. The Manfacturer, W Motors, is a company based in the United Arab Emirates, founded in Lebanon in 2012. In fact, it is the first sports car designed and produced in the Middle East.

W Motors only produced seven units of the car. They presented the first pre-series Lykan HyperSport to the public at the Qatar Motor Show in 2013. In June 2015, the Abu Dhabi Police purchased a Lykan HyperSport. The Abu Dhabi Police car is included in the total of seven, meaning only six were available for purchase by customers. At US $3.4 million, the Lykan HyperSport was the third most expensive production car at time of its production. Without no doubt a really rare car.

A 3.7-liter twin turbocharged, flat six-cylinder engine, developed by Ruf Automobile, powers the Lykan. The HyperSport produces a maximum output of 581.6 kW (780 hp) at 7,100 rpm. The centrally mounted engine transmits it’s power to the rear wheels.

The manufacturer specifies a maximum speed of 395 km/h (245 mph). The top speed depends on the gear ratio setting. The car accelerates in 2.8 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and in 9.4 seconds to 200 km/h. Nevertheless, no one has yet tested and officially confirmed the performance data of the vehicle.
