Chevrolet C10 Tiffany Specifications

Real life Chevrolet C10 Tiffany

When you think of a “workshop truck”, you probably think of an old workhorse used for transporting parts and errands around town. Every now and then you come across a really nice one that is also used for advertising. But none of them are as beautiful or badass as this incredible C10 built by Classic Car Studio (CSS) of St. Louis. For whatever reason, they call it “Tiffany,” and even with a female name, this 1966 C10 is a stunning example of what can happen when you combine a vivid imagination with an extremely talented crew of builders, mechanics, and fabricators.

Every square inch of this truck was meticulously designed and built to make it look like a million bucks. One of the most noticeable features of this beautiful truck is the open engine bay, which looks just as good as the rest of the truck. Immediately catching your eye are the two massive twin turbos, which not only make for eye-catching aesthetics, but also a whole lot of power.

That’s because they’re not just any turbos, but a perfect pair of 64mm mirror turbos from Nelson Racing. They’re meant to be smooth when you need them, like when you’re out on the town getting parts, or as wild as you need them to be when you’re out on the track or just showing off to your buddies.

The spectacular turbo system is mated to a proven LS1 V8 that came from a donor Camaro and then reworked with LS6 heads, billet fuel lines, a new intake manifold and 105mm throttle body, and a Holly Dominator vehicle management system. All of these amazing parts combine to create an engine that, even with an extremely mild tune of just 8 pounds of boost, still makes more than 750 horsepower to the wheels.

If the CSS crew really wanted to rev it up, they could get well over the 1,000 horsepower mark, but they wanted it to be as reliable as it was beautiful. And thanks to the advanced vehicle management system, Tiffany can run on E85, regular gasoline, as well as race fuel!

But as cool as the Chevrolet C10 Tiffany’s engine is, this truck has a lot more to offer. For example, the truck owes its looks and stance to a custom air suspension system. In order for the new system to be installed, a new rear chassis had to be built, so a Porterbuilt was chosen. To keep costs down, the decision was made to fabricate the entire front chassis in-house.

The end result is so low to the ground that the truck doesn’t even move when the air is released from the bags. The level of fabrication used in nearly every aspect of the truck is second to none. The bed had to be roofed over to make room for the suspension components, and the result is a sheet metal body that looks like a work of art, even though it was designed to be more functional than aesthetic.
