McLaren P1 GTR Specifications
Real life P1 GTR
With the P1, McLaren has launched a super-exclusive and 916 hp sports car. Only 375 were built and sold at a price of more than a million euros. The engineers in Woking have gone one better with the P1 GTR. It packs another 84 hp under the fairing, i.e. exactly 1,000 hp of system output. But with so much power, McLaren only lets the GTR loose on the racetracks of this world. Road legalization is out of the question.
The 1,000 hp racer is not only more powerful, but also more exclusive. Only 35 units are planned. On top of that, McLaren offers solvent buyers an all-round feel-good package – called the McLaren GTR Driver Program.
In concrete terms, this means that McLaren has set up a new workshop on the company’s premises in Woking especially for the P1 GTR – close to the MSO tuning shop and the GT racing team. There, the supercars are looked after, maintained, nurtured and prepared for their race track assignments by selected technicians and engineers.
In the McLaren GTR Driver Program, customers are allowed to feel like real race drivers. They come to Woking for the seat adjustment of the carbon shell. McLaren also measures their bodies to tailor a suitable racing suit. The helmet is also individually designed. McLaren prepares them for the race track by driving them in the simulator. And a fitness coach helps the drivers achieve the necessary physical conditions.
The CSR2 P1 GTR
The 5 yellow star McLaren can fit 128 Fusion parts. So far nothing special. The P1 GTR should run 7.696s. To sum up, the GTR is obviously not one of the faster cars in Tier 5.
The 5 purple star GTR can fit 135 Fusion parts. The P1 GTR should run 7.587s.
