The real Porsche

The Porsche Boxster and Cayman are mid-engine two-seater sports cars. They have been produced and marketed by the German car manufacturer Porsche over four generations. As a two-door, two-seater roadster (Boxster) and as a three-door, two-seater hatchback coupe (Cayman).

Porsche launched the first generation of the Boxster in 1996. End of 2005 they released the second generation of the Boxster and the Cayman. The third generation was launched in 2012. Since the introduction of the fourth generation in 2016, Porsche marketed the two models as the Porsche 718 Boxster and Porsche 718 Cayman.

The Boxster nameplate is a portmanteau of Boxer, a reference to its flat or boxer engine, and Roadster, a reference to its body style. The Cayman nameplate is an alternative spelling of Cayman, a member of the alligator family.

The displacement drops from 2.7 l to 2.0 l in the basic variant and from 3.4 l to 2.5 l in the S variant. The turbocharging leads to an increase in performance. This increases to 220 kW (300 hp) in the basic version and to 257 kW (350 hp) in the S-version.

The smallest Porsche accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 285 km/h. Pretty fast for a car of this size.

Porsche 718 Boxster S CSR2 tunes and shifts

Attention: With the Porsche 718 Boxster S you have to use a very extraordinary tuning to reach the best time. For the engine you have to use the Stock-Level and the Transmission may only be upgraded to Stage 5. Obviously crazy, isn’t it.

  1. Could you please also list the best tune set-up in general, for almost fully-maxed? I’m trying to beat the September 2020 Supply Cup.
    Thanks!

  2. This car is NOT the best choice for the 140 speed trap. even with all stage 5 parts and 3 stage 6 full fusion it DOES not top 132.. there is NO tune that will allow this car to beat that time which makes it 2nd choice the closest ive come is full stage 5 audi tt rs all stage 5 and full fusion I have gotten it to run 137. THe sad thing is these parts arent available all year around for this car so if you dont get it on first go around you have to wait to beat this race. I really do not Care for how the setup works on CSR2.
